Tako Grill

Sushiguy's first taste of decent sushi...

Or "sush" as my triplet friends called it. Back in high school days, trips into Bethesda were mass-rad. Vivid memories of trekking from way north in Montgomery County and navigating the hectic parking of Wisconsin Ave to hit up the cool places. Ok, you got me, we just went to Uno's most of the time. I can't remember exactly when we first went to Tako, but I do know it was my initial taste of non-store-bought raw stuff.

Anyways, Tako has some really tasty rolls, but they come at a relatively hefty price. There's a long menu, and a good atmosphere.

The good:
Sake sake sake, awesome o-sake
The complex rolls are put together well (e.g., "Fire Cracker" roll, "Dynamite" roll)
Quality, fresh ingredients

The bad:
Price generally matches quality
Eel rolls missing sauce
Drunks keep smashing their sake barrel/sign on the street

Overall:
A decent place to eat good sushi, if you're not concerned about the paycheck. There are cheaper, simpler rolls available, and plenty of drinks to choose from.
